The quality of our treated drinking water is regulated by the US Environmental Protection Agency and the Rhode Island Department of Health. Our revenue and rate structure is regulated by the Rhode Island Public Utilities Commission.

Our mission is to create an efficient and effective network of resources enabling Providence Water operating divisions to fulfill the organizational goal of providing a safe, pure, reliable, and affordable supply of potable water.

Security: The Security department is responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of all Security assets throughout all facilities.


Facilities: Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all administrative facilities.


Safety & Risk: To promote a safe and healthy environment for all our employees and customers through compliance, cooperative programs, training and leadership.


Purchasing: Responsible for the acquisition of all Supplies and Services to support the operation while complying with municipal policies.


Inventory Control: The receiving, storage & issuance of materials that are processed through it's area of responsibility efficiently, accurately, transparently and in accordance with policies and procedures.


Fleet Operations: Charged with handling, acquisition, repair and preventative maintenance of all vehicles & equipment.
